Wildlife in my files

I think this is a muskrat - Bisamråtta. This was the only time I know I have seen it. It is not native to Sweden. Saw it in Kvismaren, a Nature reserve.

A rare bird to see in Sweden. And when I see it it is way to far out on the lake.

Today I have been diving in my files. It is quite fun actually. This is old shots but I have probably not posted them. The curlew and the grebe is shot with a 500 mm lens so not a too good quality compared with todays shots.

This one made me happy. For the first time in decades I have seen one alive. Every spring we see them on the side of the road. Killed by cars. That is why I loved seeing this one away from a road. And in the early afternoon.

I wa out looking for cranes, but this was the best catch today. Raptors heading north. Most years I only see them once where I live, so I was happy. I did see two Buzzards and one Kite.

The Blue Tit is a common bird where I live and many times I just dismiss them because I already have a lot of images of them. Yet it is a very lovely bird. I think they already started their mating season. A lot is going on there.
