As I mentioned before it is very scarse with birds nowadays. But last time I visited the forest feeder I saw nuthatch and treecreeper. Loved it

On my balcony I have some weed as decoration, I think they are quite beautiful. I think it is Rumex longifolius or Dock, in Swedish "skräppa". It turned out the bullfinch and the redpoll likes them. As I live on third floor I am not allowed to have feeders. But this is decoration, not feeding. Right?

I think it is more then 3 years since I got this close to the Redpoll. And having sunshine too. I took these images today. Winter?  Not where I live. Even if we had a little frost on the fields.

Common Redpoll - Gråsiska

A walk on a grey day, today that is, I noticed a flock of birds. Hardly visible. Grey birds on a grey day, not a great combination. From the red head I realized it is Common Redpoll. Our name, translated, would be "grey siskin". These guys hardly sit still and wait for you to take shots. This was the only decent shot I got. But as they say, one good image is enough to save the day.
