Eagle and deer

Fallow deer, males, top row and does, bottom row.
I was lucky to see them  rather close this time. But, on two different locations. Usually they go apart.

White tailed sea eagle. Probably a pair and an offspring from last year.
I was happy to see them rather close. Mostly I just see their tails far away.

Yesterday was a good day

I had noticed a few deers on the other side of the field when I was frightened by a sound. Looking to my left side I saw all of these greylag geese taking off.

Following the geese I got a shot with both the geese, fallow deer does and the farm. I liked that!

The first coots has arrived at the pond. Here with a female mallard. From the posture the coot seem to be ready for the mating fights.

I have heard the Common cranes before but now I had a pair fairly close.

Fallow deer does. There always seem to be one in charge of watching out for dangers. This one was very aware of me despite the fact we had a piece of  wetland between us.

New born and snowydays

Time for Mosaic Monday over at Angies place.
Top two images is a litter of newborn piglets I almost ran over. I was out checking out a new part of a field when I noticed it was something moving below a bush. It was these quties. As cut as can be as new borns. Not that much as adults. I did not stay long as I was afraid I might be detected by an angry mother. They were so tiny. I did go back today but did not see them.

Bottom row: An decayed barn of sort, maybe a workshop for the farm long ago. It looks like it could fall apart completely any day now.
We had some really wet snow coming down a few days ago. Did look rather nice on the rocks at the tree. Center image is the view from my bathroom the same snowy day. It was still snowing, that is why the image looks so soft.

I hope everyone is well.

A few spring arrivals

The first pair of Smew has arrived to a lake 30 km from me.
A favorite I rarely see closeup.

Common goldeneye
A beautiful duck and quite common where I live, so far!

White tailed sea eagle. We have a few of them in my area. But I only see them, maybe, once a month.

European green woodpecker - Gröngöling
I see it sometimes but it is not common. A very colorful woodpecker when you see it flying.

Mosaic Monday this week

The images top row:  A christmastree I found in the forest glowing like golden copper in the sun. The rear window of my car 2 days after washing it. 😒
Middle row: Wooden piece of branch on ice. Spring fever, running does of fallow deer.
Bottom row: Flowering yellow Winter aconite and some weed
Center: A doll I bought a couple of weeks ago. She is tall, almost 80 cm. I thought I´d use her as a model. I like her dress.

Four legged critters

I realized that I have not posted as many four-legged critters as I thought lately.
So, here there are some of them. Starting with snowy shots.

Man-horse team working with timber

Roe-deer, probably mother and young son. Our smallest deer.

Fallow deer also probably mother and son

Fallow deer male. Same as above and this one is strange. This dark one don´t have the white markings in his behind as he was supposed to have. His tail also seem thicker then the doe´s.
I asked the man who owns the property and takes care of them and he had not noticed some dark males was black at the back! So, he has some homework to do.
This guy is cute, don´t you think?? 😍

Fallow deer doe´s on the run! And, it was not my fault. It was the first day that really felt like spring and I think they felt it too. They were running back and forth without noticing me spying on them.

The red squirrel at a feeder station. Watching!
And, yes, squirrels are four-legged even if it uses the legs differently
