These images is from my trip to Öland a month ago. It is a great tourist attraction and a Nature Reserve located at the north part of Öland, facing Swedish mainland. The cliffs are remains of limestone, rich in fossils.  But I did not see any fissils as I had problem with a rainy day. First image above I had raindrops on my lens.

Today I take you to Queensland, Australia. This part of the country is the land of opposites. At one season it burns and half a year later it floods. We did see this kind of burnt forest a lot in the north part of Queensland. And where there was dried streams there were signs of warning for flooding. The locals held the cattle in the forest to roam free as they wanted. There was obviously food enough for them to get by.

Today I take you to Queensland, a place I visited in September 2014.
Believe it or not, but this is a rain forest in the middle of an, almost, desert. It did not take long to drive from one to the other. This was early morning. Before the mist lifted. Trees on mountains, a very graphic view. Today I take you to Varanger, as high up north in Norway as one can get. First two images was taken from the plane. The mountains covered with bare trees. The trees creating lines and curves following the mountains shapes. To me it looks like a pencil drawing where all the dots are trees for real.  The last image I took from the car as we were going north to Båtsfjord in Varanger. More about the trip on my Travel blog. Granite Gorge is the home of the cute rock wallaby. They are friendly and will come right up to you. You can buy little special pellets to feed them and they are most active at dusk. It is a small one that thrives on rocks. A few had young ones that was soo small when they were looking out. Small, but with sharp claws. One of us got scratches from them as they reached to grab the pellets from your hand.

Passing over what I think was the  Mongolian-Manchurian steppe I took this picture of clouds against the steppe. The white patches are lakes and the sun creates beams of shadows from the  "cotton" looking clouds. I was happy the window was pretty clean.
