As the title suggest there is not much to see outdoors nowadays. It is just grey and foggy.
I am currently posting some birds from my trip to Queensland Sept 2014, on Instagram.
My sister said she likes to see some colorful birds we don´t have in Sweden. So, to keep us busy during the second wave of C, I post some images from back then.

Hope you like them too.

Not much wildlife around my place this week. Seems the birds headed up north and the deer was elsewhere. So i dived into my files.

140917 I visited MICHAELMAS CAY .  It is located outside Cairns in Queensland, Australia. We were on a birding and scuba diving tour. Lots of birds but much less fish.

One of my favorite images from my trip to Queensland in 2014. I have not shared it earlier as this guide was sick and did not have much time left to live. Now it is a few years back and if any relative sees it they might like it :)

Deers and a honeyeater

Two days ago I finally see a flock of Fallow deer bucks! I have not seen any since last winter. They were rather far away so I used a long lens. So nice to see they are still around. Males in different ages.

 Spotted!

I´m going through images from my trip to Queensland 4 years ago. I saw this bird several times but this was the closest I got. If I had more time I might get some but on trips your time is always limited. This is a very beautiful bird.

Visiting the Barrier Reef outside Cairns. A small part of the island was used for human visitors. We were not allowed to walk into the bird area to avoid disturbing the birds. From the beach you could also go scuba diving. But, not with camera in hand.

Burnt forest

Burnt forest
© NF Photo 140910, Herberton Range NP, Queensland, Australia

Today I take you to Queensland, Australia. This part of the country is the land of opposites. At one season it burns and half a year later it floods. We did see this kind of burnt forest a lot in the north part of Queensland. And where there was dried streams there were signs of warning for flooding. The locals held the cattle in the forest to roam free as they wanted. There was obviously food enough for them to get by.
