Icy art in Japan

Icy art in Japan

This is icy art in Japan. I am going through my files from the trip I was on in the beginning of the year. We were going south to see great eagles in Hokkaido, Japan. I think we started 06.00h in the morning, dark and cold. It was cold in the bus as well and we were in for a three hours drive. After a while frost was created on the windows. So I started to "paint" in it. I was happy to see the frost helped too. It created new crystals where I had melted some with my fingers. The blue tint comes from the color of the window. I guess you can say this is very temporary art. But, it was not me if I did not take shots.

I was going through the files as I am going to create next years calender from them. :)

Burnt forest

Today I take you to Queensland, Australia. This part of the country is the land of opposites. At one season it burns and half a year later it floods. We did see this kind of burnt forest a lot in the north part of Queensland. And where there was dried streams there were signs of warning for flooding. The locals held the cattle in the forest to roam free as they wanted. There was obviously food enough for them to get by.
