Eileen, the Costa Rica trip I was on was actually because of you. I had seen your shots from Costa Rica. Right now I am posting the trip on Instagram, both the Travel and Bird accounts, see the list below, soo many memories pop up. It is amazing how much you remember when you see the shots you took many years ago. :)

A snipe came our way a week ago. Only two was seen. Normally there would be at least ten.

The horses are in a Nature Reserve in Julita. I has some problem in the area. There usually are about 8-10 horses and they really seem to like human company. My problem is they come too close and wants to taste my backpack. :) And too close means no shots. :( I really liked the dark grey one but it was impossible to get a good shot.

The birds was an odd pair. The only two waders I could see and they kind off paired up.
It is a juv Dunlin and a Snipe.

Not many birds this strange summer but at least I noticed a few snipes on their way south. One of them were black and white. Perfect for todays meme, right??? :)

Some of the smaller ones in nature. Other from these there is not much wildlife around. It´s too dry. The birds have fled from here!
