Fallow deer bucks finally returned after the hunting season was over.

The Wigeon, Merganser and the Goldeneye are early migrators from the south. All males. And one of each.

As you can see our winter is still green. Weather service officially now say we have spring 1.5 months too early.

The bullfinches are finally back at my balcony. During winter they come and feed on the tree outside my balcony. I love the visit so I hope they stay. Here they feed on a weed I usually pick for decoration. Sorry, I don´t remember the name of it. So far I have seen 10 bullfinches sitting in the treetop so they might clean the weed too rather quickly. They I go out to pick new ones.

 I finally managed to capture this very shy Great spotted woodpecker. A male. I rarely see females, not sure why.

The past three weeks the deer's has been gone. Yesterday I only saw 2 young  females far off in a distance. They have been hunting in the area so, of course the deer's are hiding in the forest 😭

Visiting the feeder

I visited the feeder the day the sun came out of hiding! This is the only place with a feeder left that I know of. Except of a few in gardens, but they are rare too. Not much bird life even here. It is sad to see the numbers go down almost  weekly 😞

If you hear a sad sound somewhere it´s got to be a bullfinch. Found him in a treetop.

A coaltit was present and actually shared a glimpse of it´s face

A nuthatch and a great tit was visiting. These two are the most common ones.

But this day there also appeared another hungry visitor:

A red squirrel! And I was lucky to have the sun shining on it!

Today was mostly sunny after a little snowfall at night. The Bullfinch shone brightly in the sunshine.
At the forest feeder the snow seemed popular. The tree creeper ate it. A lot!
