First row: a female Mallard, one of the pea vines, a juvenile grey wagtail.
Second row: The sun traveling through clouds, wild strawberries.

I have a warning about the sun shot, never try to do this unless you are perfectly sure of what you are doing. Looking at the sun without protection can damage your eyes. As I almost always, if possible,  take back light photos I know how to do it.

I have seen a pair of Northern weather a couple of  weeks now. Was unsure if they had offspring.
This day I did see one young. That was a pleasure.

Not often you are able to get some shots of the coots chase on water. Was lucky this time.

I really was wondering what they were thinking. First a very late point in time for nesting. Chicks should be hatched by now. And then, such a narrow nest on the water surface. The egg is probably in contact with the water. Last year a pair, maybe these two, built a similar nest as this. It was abandoned after a week. I hope this will be more lucky.

I think this is a Northern damselfly or Spearhead bluet.

Walking around looking for wildlife is not fun nowadays. There are almost nothing to see.
The red damselfly seem to be of "normal" numbers. The blue one....a few years ago you saw them everywhere. Now I have seen 4 of them.

The no of moose and roe deer´s also lowered in no the past years. This was the first moose I have seen in 4 years. And, earlier I saw roe deer´s almost every week, but not anymore.

Insects and butterflies are rare. And I think birds have trouble feeding their young.  Where there used to be clouds of insects over the meadows it is now empty.

I have a no of National Geographic, Swedish edition, on my kitchen table. There is an article about the decreasing no of insects all over the world. It is a scary reading and I can see it in my area.

A few shots from our city square this week. In Corona times the local ladies hairdresser has moved outdoors. Kids has got a new playground with a slide. A lady takes a nap in her mobile chair. and of course there are some flowers. People are outdoors but keep their distance.

Mute Swan family at Lake Hjälmaren

I share only a Mute swan family today!

This day I was very lucky. When I arrived at the camp/beach I saw the Mute swan family on the other side of the of the bay. They slowly came closer to where I stood. But a man went into the water to swim and one parent, dad?, tried to scare him off. But did not attack. I spent time on the beach waiting. They moved toward the tip of the cape. And I went to the point where I would come close to them. At first dad snorted at me, but then figured I was harmless and I was accepted.  I was able to follow them around the cape. I was following them for about an hour and a half.

I was happy. It was the first time in many years I was able to come this close to a swan family.
