As I mentioned before it is very scarse with birds nowadays. But last time I visited the forest feeder I saw nuthatch and treecreeper. Loved it

On my balcony I have some weed as decoration, I think they are quite beautiful. I think it is Rumex longifolius or Dock, in Swedish "skräppa". It turned out the bullfinch and the redpoll likes them. As I live on third floor I am not allowed to have feeders. But this is decoration, not feeding. Right?

  1. Hello, Love the Nuthatch and Treecreeper. The Redpoll is one of my favorite too, I wish I saw them in my yard. The BUllfinch is a handsome bird. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post today. Happy Saturday and have a great weekend. PS, thanks for the comment on my blog.

  6. The snow in these images seems very appealing. Right now I am in Costa Rica where the temperature is averaging around thirty-five degrees every day with 100% humidity - pretty uncomfortable!

  7. That is a clever thing to do...using plants to attract birds instead of the feeders!!!

And it's great to see you...you've been missed. Love the creeper peeking out from the snow!

Thank you very much for joining us this weekend at I'd Rather B Birdin' and sharing your birding experiences!

  8. Lovely photographs, and that is such a good idea to use plants to attract the birds instead of feeders :)

  9. How interesting that you show the birds eating dock. When I am walking in the woods, I can see seeds scattered on the snow around a plant, and you know the birds have been there ...
