This is not sunset shot. There is a yellow house reflecting from behind the trees.
A male bullfinch
The sturdy horses still in their pasture. By now they have a very thick coat.
Fallow deer does
I finally got a bit closer to a herd of fallow deer hinds. The females are almost impossible to get decent shots of. There is a small area where I can park my car beside this field. But the girls always notice the car as soon as it is visible. I can´t even open the door before they are gone. This cold day they seemed very busy eating. I had the sun behind me so they might have been a bit blinded. I was able to slowly walk over half the field before they noticed me. And took off of course.
I was very happy about this!

Hello Monica,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to sneak up on the deer, great photo. I love the horses and the beautiful Bullfinch. The Dipper and reflection is a lovely capture! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
What a fabulous winter encounter. The Dipper and the Bullfinch would be such amazing birds to see, and your pictures are terrific. Patience paid off with the deer.
ReplyDeleteI love that Dipper shot, and always good to see a male Bullfinch.
ReplyDeleteThat Bullfinch is gorgeous. I love seeing the deer!
ReplyDeleteHow amazing that the yellow house gave you such beautiful background color in the reflection! WOW! Love the deer and horses too!
ReplyDeleteÅh! Det er jo fossekallen! Norges "nasjonalfugl". Nydelig bilde. Var ved den gjenfrosne elven/fossen der vi bor, men så ingen fugl i dag. Men dompapen er tilbake i hagen i dag :) Vakre hester!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures!
ReplyDeletethanks!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful pics.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images Monica. Wow, that top photo is filled with lots of drama...stunning (could be framed!).
ReplyDeleteIf you celebrate, happy Valentine's Day & thanks for joining us at I'd Rather B Birdin'.
The reflection of the yellow house gives such a pretty tone to the first photo. Enjoyed the deer photo. So hard to sneak up on any deer, I think. Hope your week is off to a wonderful start!
