This was a grey morning and I woke up early. I went out for a trip anyway and was rewarded greatly.
First I saw a male moose. Don´t think I have ever seen any. Only cows an young ones.
After driving a bit I spotted deer on a field. I stopped the car and went out to get closer to them following the edge of a forest. Took me about 20 min I think. I realized it was Red deer this time. A deer I never seen up close before. This was a male with 5 females. When the male thought I got too close he told me so. So I stopped and started to go back.
Then something was visible above my head. A White-tailed
eagle was circling above my head. A bad place for an eagle to be I think. It was hard to follow it when it was above me and I was on a harvested field. Luckily I did not fall.
Then I started to look for Raven, as there are almost always ravens close to the eagles. And it was.
Then I had been out for about 3 h without breakfast so I drove home to get something to eat.

Fantastic animal shots!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic wildlife you get.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have been hungry too after all of that excitement. Hope you had a hardy breakfast. We don't have any of those animals or birds near us. We have crows, not ravens, Bald Eagles not White Tailed Eagles, White tail deer, not Red deer and the moose are the same as ours except we don't have them anywhere close to us. So, I enjoyed this walk with you ... Quite a treat :)
