Surprising? Yes, because when I went out for a walk it was all grey. This lasted for about 15 min then it was grey again.

This is a rare event and this did not happen this year. I took the shot in January last year.
For this to happen it needs to be a low sun at around 15.00 and very cold. And streaming water. It was to warm the period, this year, when the sun was at the right angle to lit the canal.
