Looking through my files for reflections this adorable little girl turned up. I remeber taking this shot 5 years ago. I asked her mom if I was allowed to take a shot so the girl walked once more for me 😊
I know it is soon Christmas but a little summer memories doesn´t hurt. Right?

Today I converted the image to black and white.

A girl in the lake

I was sitting next to her in the water, a waterproof camera in hand. The camera was wet and I did not focus. It is blurred by water drops and from holding the camera low at water level.

I was soo surprised when I got a mail from National Geographic. One of their photo editors had choosen one of my "girls" as favorite. It´s an honor even if it is just as a LIKE. But still...National Geographics editor liked it.  Especially as I only have uploaded 129 photos.

The image was created in the camera, I only added a little of the filter Palette knife but it is hardly visible. And light and contrast as usual.
