A few spring arrivals

The first pair of Smew has arrived to a lake 30 km from me.
A favorite I rarely see closeup.

Common goldeneye
A beautiful duck and quite common where I live, so far!

White tailed sea eagle. We have a few of them in my area. But I only see them, maybe, once a month.

European green woodpecker - Gröngöling
I see it sometimes but it is not common. A very colorful woodpecker when you see it flying.

  1. Hello,

What a wonderful variety of birds, from the pretty Smews, Goldeneye and the White-tailed Eagle. The European Green Woodpecker is great too. I would be thrilled to see all of these birds. Great photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post.! Take care, have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for the comment on my post.

  2. I have seen but one Smew in my life, an immature male, and one White-tailed Eagle so high in the sky one could barely recognize it, so I would have been thrilled with these two sightings.
