Christmas birds

Eurasian Jay, a rare visitor to the Forest feeder.
First time it stayed long enough to get a shot. With a glimpse of sunlight and a camera willing to behave!

A Coal tit showing of it´s little crest.

Marsh tit adn Blue tit sharing branch.

What are YOU looking at? It is mine!  A mouthful for the nuthatch.

Only birds today. To bad I did not get a Bullfinch this week. It´s red chest would be nice christmas colors.

I hope everyone has enyojed a fine Christmas despite of the pandemic. I spent it alone but had contace with family and friends online. My Christmas Eve was great. We had nice frost and sunshine. I spent the day out "hunting" deers on halffrozen land and photographed frozen ice needles.
But, that will be for another post.

Take care everyone! We have past winter solstice and are heading towards lighter days.

  2. Great shots of the Eurasian Jay, often not an easy bird to photograph. All the best for the New Year.

  6. Love all your Christmas birds, but the greedy nuthatch is my personal favorite. For some reason I always love to see birds eating. It was a quiet Christmas here too, phone calls and texts from all the family.

  7. Lovely to see these birds.
So pleased your Christmas was good.
I was thankful for technology, as Christmas in the UK was a little different this year (as it was for many other countries)

My good wishes to you and a happy new year too.

    All the best Jan
