MM Autumn road trip

This was one of those days when the weather had no idea of what it was supposed to be.
I had been to the grocery store and did not want to go home. So I drove out of town to check some areas I had not been for a while. It is a nice road to travel. And I have one place I always stop and check. It is a marsh and in normal years you need rubber boots to go there. This summer it has been dry but this day it was wet, obviously. But I managed  with my boots.  :)

Passing a hill I noticed the landscape with dark clouds and sunshine. Had to stop. There was noise above my head. A group of Graylag goose was travelling. Preparing for migration south.

The mushroom, cauliflower fungus, is one om my favorites. I just wish it was not that hard to clean.

Most of the trees will soon be bare.

Pretty series of nature photos. I love the geese in flight. Beautiful views of the countryside and trees. The raindrops capture is lovely. Take care, enjoy your day. Have a great new week!

  6. One of the great sounds in all of nature is that of a flock of geese calling to each other overhead. It never ceases to be wonderful and epitomizes the rawness of nature.

  7. That are beautiful photos , i love this would and goose!Take care yourself, hug Elke

  8. Great shot of the water droplets. Geese can be a real nuisance here in town. Oh how I miss my country living.

    1. Yes, I agree about the geese. :) And the fungi is tasty but a pain to clean form moss and needles.

  9. Wonderful set of photos Monica, that geese photo is really great!

  10. How amazing to see that flock of geese! We haven't seen big flocks of birds migrating here yet but it should be any time. Love the droplets of water...such a nice photo and great mosaics as always. Enjoy your week!

  11. These days I never want to go out when I’m home, but once I do go out, even on a routine errand, then I don’t want to go home! You sure knew a great place to go after your routine errand! Lovely pictures . The only wild mushroom I’ve ever cooked and eaten is the chanterelle . I don’t know any of the others well enough to dare . That one does look hard to handle.p, but must be delicious to be worth all that work!

  12. What a beautiful place to visit. I love the road passing by the farm and disappearing into the trees.

  13. Love taking a peek into your corner of the world!
