Finally! First time this winter I spotted them. And was able to get shots. There was, maybe 15 of them. I love this bird, the sound, look and behavier. They breed in the north so we never see them in summer. There are a feaw berries in this bush and they take them. Close by there are houses with feeders and they take what they can from there.

Beautiful bird shots!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are incredible on these photos! They are beautiful with the red berries, too! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis bird is SO handsome - something about the sheen of the body is glamourous, and sets them apart. I am fascinated by the ones hanging upside down - anything for a berry, I guess!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen these in real time...they're beauties!!
ReplyDeleteFor all the beauty & photos shared, I thank you for adding your link this week at I R B B.

ReplyDeleteA few days ago I saw Cedar Waxwings in the trees near the library (might be holly trees) - I was thrilled!
Have a great week!
They are so pretty!
ReplyDelete"able to get shots" has to be among the greatest understatements of all time Monica. You got more than shots, you got amazing and beautiful shots of this wonderful bird -- capturing the beauty and their funny behavior both ... just wonderful. I love these photos!!! Thanks for sharing. (We've seen cedar waxwings several different times and places, but never the Bohemian....unless I made an ID mistake).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, I am not much of a bird watcher but I love the delicateness of the cedar waxwings.
ReplyDeleteWow - stunning shots!

ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous bird! I love the colors, they look like they are painted!!
ReplyDeleteA truly gorgeous species. Haven't seen one in a couple of years. I scan every flock of Cedar Waxwings in the winter to see if a couple of Bohemians have joined up with them.
