I was wondering what the birds were doing in the grass. Never seen them in grass before. But at a closer look I noticed that they ate the snow. No water to drink, they ate snow.
Could not decide which image I liked the best so I post both. More waxwings in the post before this one.

Beautiful! I like both versions.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I like B&W version
ReplyDeleteThe birds contrast perfectly with snow and grass in your b&w photo, so I like that one best.
ReplyDeleteThat black and white photo highlights the wings and tail so nicely. It takes you to the woods.
ReplyDeleteBoth versions are lovely. I love birds and your photos of them are wonderful.
ReplyDeletethanks!

ReplyDeleteHello, the waxwings are beautiful. It is neat seeing them eat the snow. Great shots. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy weekend to you! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot.
ReplyDeleteAren't they sweet? I keep a birdbath going in winter for our birds. And deer drink, too!!!
