This birch forest grows alongside a small dirt road. When I first saw them we could not stop. But I could not forget about them so the next sunny day at the same time in the afternoon I went back. And this time I was able to park the car so I could go out and take some shots. I had to do it before the leaves came out and transformed the sight to green instead of silver.

  1. Our neighbor has Birch trees. They are not doing well in the place they were put, right up next to our house and fence. They are suffering, I think. This is much more beautiful and healthier for the trees. I love how you have captured them in their glory. Annie from ~McGuffy's Reader~

  5. It certainly was well worth going back ... I agree an almost silver cast on all of them with the sun reflecting and the shadows emphasizing their stature. Good eye and beautiful shot ...

  8. It is like a silver forest. Just beautiful and rather haunting (maybe it is a ghost forest).
