This is my favorite tree of all in my town. It grows in a garden I can pass when I go to town. And I mostly chose that street only to see the tree. It took a couple of years before I realised it was a lilac. Guess I was fooled by the gorgeous trunk. It does not look like the usual lilac bushes.

That lilac has to be very old to have that magnificent trunk. I love the deep color of the blossoms, as well.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! I have always loved lilacs. There is a lilac tree near where I live, but sadly, our extremely hot and humid summers dry up the lilacs...very sad.
