Early summer critters

A lone roe deer are rare. They usually comes in families. Maybe she had a young somewhere in the grass.

Horses are still borint to photograph wearing all their protections. This sunner I don´t know why because there are not that much flies and mosquitoes'

This guy did not settle for ONE qutie, he needed three.
😍😎

This is a Black woodpecker. A bird I rarely see. But it does breed in my area. I have seen it maybe, four times. This particular one however I see every time I go to the birding tower. It fools me most times I enter the path into the forest. It sits on this tree, easy to see. I´m guessing you gessed by now this a piece of art somebody mounted on the tree. It´s been there for about 5 years now.

  5. I think you just proved that people don't necessarily read the words in your blog -- just look at the pictures. Or did I misunderstand "a piece of art somebody mounted on the tree. It´s been there for about 5 years now." Doesn't that mean it's not a real woodpecker?

  6. Black Woodpecker has been a difficult bird for me. I have only ever seen one fly over, quite high above me. At least this one would stay put!
