This week I was lucky when it came to deers. :)
Top to the left, females and young males
Top right: They shed their horns and change into summer fur. Not good looking at the moment.
Bottom: And the winner is: none, it was a draw.
Pregnant Roe deer female. She looks too skinny.

I hope she finds enough to eat and fattens up. Wonderful photos this week! I love the deer you see!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe Roe deer are a wonderful sighting. Neat capture of the two males having a battle. I hope the female fattens up some, before she has her babies. Love the photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
It is quite incredible that you continue to have these encounters with deer. Here in North America in many places where natural predation (i.e. wolves) has been eliminated deer are too numerous for the available food and starvation sometimes occurs,
ReplyDeleteA local woman used to raise fallow deer. The males would get too aggressive and have to be thinned out. She would sell their meat.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos of these fallow deer.
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice observation, you don't often see so much together.
Greetings Irma
