Excited Coots

A lone starling

There are a few coots in the dams and they are very active. So fun to watch and try to capture.

Starlings! There are supposed to be LOTS of the. On internet birdgroups I can see there are miljons in south of Sweden and rather many north of my area. I have seen only five so far. This is one of them. Last year they did not stay in my area because there was no food for them. Seem to be the same this year. ;(

  1. Hello,
The coots do look like they are having fun, great captures. The Starling looks lovely. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy you day and happy weekend.

  2. Hello. Nice to know you have a lot of starlings. In Finland, they almost disappeared, but in recent years their number has risen again.

  3. There is an abundance of starlings here. Just yesterday we saw them competing with native species like woodpeckers for nest cavities. It's fun to see the coots too.

  4. Wowza amazing images of the coots. I love the sweet starling. They are gorgeous birds.

  5. The coots are very fanatical at this time and chase their congeners away.
    The starling is really beautiful.
    Greetings Irma

  6. The Coots are neat to see and hear....we hear them more than see them here in the marshes. Love the Starling too!

  7. We have quite a few neighbours with the name Coutts! No coots, though! Lovely!

  8. La primera imagen impacta. Te mando un beso.

  9. Here are less and less starlings, it's sad.

You show us lovely scenes. It's always wonderful to watch the nature. Thank you for sharing.
