Great-spotted woodpecker, female. The patch on her neck is white, not red.
Marsh tit - Entita
This was a rainy and very dark day. So it was hard to get shots at all. I hardly saw them in the camera.
It was nice to see the female woodpecker. Most of the times it is only the males with the red neck patch that shows up.
The Blue and Marsh tits are mostly seen at the feeder but this time I also saw one treecreeper. I was lucky to get a shot of it. They usually hide themselves behind the tree trunk. Especially at the same moment you press the button. 😁

Take care everyone. The C is still on the move and in Sweden they have raised the restrictions. To try to keep a low spread during Christmas and New Year.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI would be thrilled to see all these beautiful birds in my yard and at the feeders. The Great-spotted Woodpecker is beautiful. I love the cute little Blue and Marsh Tits. The Treecreeper is an awesome find. I have yet to see our Brown Creeper this winter, still looking. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thank you for this delightful post showing the birds on your feeders. There are great similarities and family associations with the species at my feeders, but I would be happy to trade for a day! Enjoy the winter and the activity it brings to your backyard. Feeding birds is one of life's great, and perhaps underrated, pleasures.
