Just arrived from the south. This duck is very shy and almost impossible to get close to. This day I spotted it from the car. No traffic on the road so I turned around and drove slowly with open window. I was able to get a few shots before they dissappeared to the other side of the little lake.

ReplyDeleteWow, this is an unusual and beautiful bird ... We have a blue winged teal here, but no Kricka on the end ... is that significant? Have never heard it before :) Still in the throws of downsizing, packing and soon to be moving ... what a pain :( I look forward to being able to follow you more closely again down the road :)
