Nice masks! The effect is due to Google having an automatic "enhancer" (via Picasa) that changes the jpgs to what THEY think it should look like. You can only turn this off if you join Google plus - which I'll will never do. You can get around this by using png-format (like me) or using for instance WordPress (which I might do).
