NF Photo 130218, Boda Kvarn
I was actually a bit stunned by the snow on the roof making this building totally white against the almost white sky. In reality it was almost glowing. To bad it does not really show.

Himmelsk Sky Watch Friday Friday Fences
Beautiful photo and scenery. Too bad when you can't QUITE catch what you see with your eye... but this is very lovely
ReplyDeleteI think it's a beautiful image, even though it's not quite what you saw, I don't think we can ever quite capture exactly what we saw.

It looks wonderful. The contrast of the red, black and white is striking.
ReplyDeleteDet er nydelig når alt er hvitt !
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love the pun and the picture! :-) Many thanks, I don't think I'd ever seen a house completely covered in snow. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Flott vinterbilde:))
ReplyDeleteSo very lovely!
ReplyDeleteVery good photo. It does blend with the sky!
ReplyDeleteDet var en fin bild. jag skulle vilja att det var slut med all snö och att vi fick vår nu.
ReplyDeleteHa en fin torsdag

It's frustrating when a photo doesn't quite show what we want it to, but this is still a very nice photo!
ReplyDeleteThe snow can be very blinding...I remember enjoying seeing it covering white barns and against white fences as a child in Maryland (we spent six years there when I was young) This is a lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteGreat, snowy capture for the day!! It does look COLD and GRAY!! Have a great weekend and stay warm!!!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful capture with rich contrasts. It's a cooling scene as we (in the Southern hemisphere) are facing another week of temperatures in the mid 30sC. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThat looks really cold ^_^ Great shot!

thanks everyone. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely winter scene! Thanks for sharing, happy skywatching!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot...really like that house!
ReplyDeleteI came for Friday's fences, but your header shot won my heart!
ReplyDeleteVery effective nonetheless. Love the contrast with the white and red.
ReplyDeleteMost of all I love your header snow scene. Just stunning.
:)
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the header Rose. :)
beautiful
ReplyDeleteHappy Skywatch Friday
oh this is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSome of the qualities of snow can be SO hard to capture in a photo - like a cold, dry snow's diamond sparkles with their rainbow colors in the sunshine. Photos of that never turn out like the real thing! But this photo is nonetheless captivating - those pops of red from the buildings that surround the white one are so striking! Really beautiful scene you've captured.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely winter shot, but I wish we could have more blue skies!! I am so tired of these white ones!!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture. Happy sky watching.
ReplyDeleteMy sky.
Love this white on white scene, accented with the bare tree branches and your falu red painted buildings. How I love the falu red paint of Sweden. By the way, does the mustard yellow paint that is common as well have a special name?
ReplyDeleteit sure does make the red pop!
ReplyDeletePassende tittel til bildet!
ReplyDeleteHa en fin søndag :)
Faye, Re your question about the yellow colors in sweden. Never heard of a name for it. I think that color is a variety of yellows.
