I am/was in Scotland now and I saw the first favourite bird already the first day. This place is located not far from Edingurgh. They say there lives more then 25000 pairs of Gannets. So, what looks like snow, is this bird.

  10. Very nice set of pictures. In France, the only colony of "Gannets" is located in Brittany on the Island in the archipelago of Rouzic "Seven Iîles". There are approximately 23,000 couples ...

  19. Oh wow that is a lot of birds! Sea birds do seem to congregate, but I've never seen that many ever! What a great place to visit -- and that closeup shows the gannet is a very pretty bird.

  30. Vi har en damm några hundra meter bort, och där häckar måsarna och tärnorna. Så det är ett himla liv bland bostadshusen. Nu vaggar deras ungar omkring bland husen, så det är extra ´livligt´! Apropå den tjusiga fågelklippön!

  31. Visst är dem det. Nästan dubbelt så stor som föräldrarna med allt dun. För några år sedan såg jag småbarn sparka Fotboll med en unge, så jag måste tillrättavisa dem! Huvva!
