This spring week in nature

I saw the Fallow deer´s on the field while I was cleaning up my car from dust. When I was done the deer´s were gone. There was people at the corner of the field so the deer´s took of.

I have now seen 3 pairs of the Horned Grebe in the pond. If the water stays it might be a fun summer for me.

I was sitting quietly on the slope between the road and the water. This one came very close so I could get some good shots. I like this shot as it is rare to be able to see the birds feet. Calm, clear water with good light made it possible.

I hope everyone is safe. I can move around pretty much as usual. At least when it comes to nature :)

  3. Horned Grebes in breeding plumage are especially attractive, and they should be arriving on our local lakes. In fact they may already be there, I just haven't seen one yet. I will go out today and look.

  6. I've never heard of or seen a Green Hairstreak. All is well here, more cases and deaths but not as many where we live as other places. - Margy
